Terms of Service
Plain-language terms for using MadsMenu. It's a small, free, early-access project — these terms reflect that, not a large commercial service.
1. Acceptable use
Use MadsMenu for what it's built for: planning household meals. In particular:
- Don't upload illegal content, harassing material, or anything that isn't yours to share.
- Don't try to abuse rate limits, brute-force recovery codes or invite tokens, or otherwise attack the service.
- Don't use the service to store or process data about people who haven't agreed to be part of your household board.
2. Service availability
MadsMenu is in beta. There is no uptime guarantee or service level agreement. Features may change, and the service could be paused, modified, or shut down entirely, though we'll try to give reasonable notice if that happens.
3. Ownership of your data
The household names, member names, and meal plan content you enter are yours. We act only as a custodian storing it on your behalf so the app can function — we don't claim ownership over it and don't use it for anything beyond running the service.
4. Deletion and account termination
The household owner can permanently delete the household and all its data at any time via Settings → Delete household. We may also suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate the acceptable use section above.
5. Warranty disclaimer
MadsMenu is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the MadsMenu project's total liability for any claim relating to the service is capped at €0, reflecting that the service is provided free of charge during beta. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the MadsMenu project is operated.
8. Changes
If these terms change, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
